Depp vs. Bloom
Everyone seems to be in the mood of giving their ideas for my
impending transformation. It started with a change-your-hair-style and
change-your-glasses comments to the now full blown
you-should-look-like-Johnny-Depp and
you-should-look-like-Orlando-Bloom.
Johnny Depp? I doubt Lyan would be happy if I were to become like Sir
Depp. Betul tak, Lyan? Besides, the future Deputy Director of an
environmental centre can't be looking like this:
though I will make headlines! hmmm... :p
On the other hand, this is hot!
but I'm anti-smoking...pfffttt!
Bloom is definitely more my style: clean cut and understated. I love
understated luxury. No bling blings for me. Besides, with the current
backlash against us, young people, in the workplace as experienced by
Aliaa as well, the image I portray is of utmost importance.
Yes, I can run a whole centre. Thank you for your concern, though...
So I'm young and cool. What's your problem?
Seriously, I don't see the point of people discriminating against
rising young guns. If we can do the job and do it well, then give it
to us. If you're going to give it to someone else, then make sure he's
equally as good or better than us. Age doesn't matter. What's
important is whether you can do what's expected of you.
It's been a whole decade since I last changed my look. It's about
time. So many thanks to everyone who has pointed out my styling flaws!
The last question remains:
