Johnny Depp at Young Adult Volunteer Party
One hundred and sixteen YAVs met at the Barn last Friday night for
their "thanks for the hard work" party. Pizza, sodas and cookies were
consumed in mass. Raffle prizes, including a cardboard stand-up of
Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow (We almost had to hire security
guards to guard his one-dimensionalness!) were given to happy party
goers. Kids who'd worked 10 hours or more as YAVs (Young Adult
Volunteers) during the Summer Reading Game were invited to this annual
