Lunch With Johnny Depp

Did I tell you Peter and I had lunch with Johnny Depp?! I didn't think

so. Oh it was so exciting. He was so kind and accommodating and just

genuinely nice. His shyness was definitely there but he treated us

like friends.

We've been Johnny Depp fans for a long time. And being teens in the

80s (remember him in the TV show 21 Jump Street?) and young adults in

the 90s meant lots of Johnny Depp movies to choose from. We're not the

kind of fans that have seen everything he's been in, but we've seen

movies of his here and there over the years. My favorite, aside from

the Pirate movies of recent past, is What's Eating Gilbert Grape,

which is a close tie with Edward Scissorhands. He was pretty fabulous

in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too. Love those movies! Anyway,

the lunch was fabulous...

...and then I woke up. Darn it! Don't you hate that? We didn't even

get a chance to exchange cell phone numbers with him. Maybe he'll

invite us to dinner tonight, or to a screening of a new movie. You

never know, it could happen. Yeah, right...in my dreams!

So here's today's questions: 1) if you are a Johnny Depp fan, what is

your favorite movie he's been in? 2) tell us about a dream you've had
